One of the true legends of music left us this week, when Phil Everly, one half of the most successful and influential music duos of all time passed away. The influence of The Everly Brothers is heard in just about everything that we love on this show, so a fitting tribute is in order with just a few of the many covers of songs written or recorded by Don & Phil. And believe it or not, last week’s 5 hour marathon didn’t cover all of the musical highlights of 2013, so a bunch more this week!

2013 in review!

One more year end list for you, this time, it’s a little more scientific and objective than the others, but as usual, it’s absolutely meaningless! But fun!

Here are some nifty stats (and fireworks!) connected to tellthebandtogohome.com last year: http://jetpack.me/annual-report/19852641/2013/

It’s not Christmas yet, but it’ll feel like it this week as we receive many gifts in the form of great upcoming concerts. Lots to celebrate and enjoy on today’s show. We’ll also celebrate last week’s show by Charlie Mars and The Dixie Chicks. The Chicks sometimes don’t get a lot of respect, but they sure do cover some great songs and hang out with some pretty special friends, so a celebration of both today. And on a less joyful note, we would be remiss if we didn’t honour Remembrance Day, so a few songs in honour of the day.
