The gang’s back from the Winnipeg Folk Festival with songs to play and stories to tell. We also have the usual stuff (arguing, cutting each other off, making fun of Dean, T-Bar’s lousy picks… you know.)

Steel Belted Radio – April 30, 2009
KK takes the wheel for a rare solo show, and does the unthinkable: plays 1.5 hours of great music with no ridiculous arguing. She’s trying to ruin the show, I’m sure of it. Hopefully you don’t get used to hearing just the best music out there, because the circus will be back in town soon. In the meantime, enjoy it with birthday wishes for Jim Bryson, and great tunes from the likes of The Weakerthans, Leeroy Stagger, Romi Mayes, Matt Mays, and much more!

Steel Belted Radio – April 9, 2009
Tonight, an action-packed, super-sized episode chock full of great live guests, including up-and-coming singer/songwriter Dan Mangan, Roots Rock heavyweights Brock Zeman & Dan Walsh, and a great band to watch, The Deep Dark Woods. With all of those guests, I didn’t even get to cut KK off all that much, but it’s a fun show anyway, so tune in!

Steel Belted Radio – March 26, 2009
A special episode featuring an interview with Texas singer/songwriter Slaid Cleaves, who makes his long-awaited return to Winnipeg in a little over a week. And, as usual, your Roots Rock Weirdos play some great tunes and talk a whole lot.
Steel Belted Radio – November 20, 2008
A special pre-recorded segment of Steel Belted Free Range Radio featuring Romi Mayes & Gurf Morlix, including one of my favourite live-in-the-studio moments ever, Gurf’s powerful cover of Blaze Foley’s “Cold, Cold World.” Do NOT miss this one!

Neilfest part II
Prerecorded because the gang’s off at the long awaited Neil Young show at the arena. In honour of one of the greatest singer/songwriters of all, this is our own Steel Belted Neilfest, featuring a bunch of Neil’s best, as well as some covers and Neil related songs to get you in the mood for the concert, or to make you feel bad if you missed it.
