When one of the singer/songwriters who first blew my mind at the Folk Fest and set me off on this musical journey calls and asks if he can drop by the studio, I don’t care what day it is, I’m coming in. So, this was a Wednesday night special with special guest, live, in studio chatting and singing, Martin Sexton!
Tonight, an action-packed, super-sized episode chock full of great live guests, including up-and-coming singer/songwriter Dan Mangan, Roots Rock heavyweights Brock Zeman & Dan Walsh, and a great band to watch, The Deep Dark Woods. With all of those guests, I didn’t even get to cut KK off all that much, but it’s a fun show anyway, so tune in!

Celebrating International Women’s Day in true TTBTGH style, a week late… We pulled out some of our favourite ladies, we let the gentlemen in with a couple of timely songs featuring ladies, and one request, because we love our listeners. Most of all though, we love good music, and man, woman, child, whatever, it’s all good to us!
Tons of great new music made its way into my ears recently, so we just had to share much of it. That sent us off in all kinds of directions (as these things often do.) This week’s history lesson segment was on the late great Steve Goodman and we heard a few of his best. Last up, a brief prelude to the upcoming homecoming by Luke Doucet and the lovely Amelia Curran.
