Episode #856

We gave up the second hour of the broadcast on UMFM to make room for an important broadcast called We Are All Treaty People, so the full two-hour episode of Tell the Band to Go Home can only be found on the podcast.

On the show today we’ve got some more great new music, even if we haven’t actually heard some of it yet, some overdue requests, and we check in with some artists that I used to really love but for one reason or another haven’t connected with as much over the years.

Episode #852

Another great one gone as we pay a fond farewell to the great Justin Townes Earle, who left us far too soon. We’ve got plenty of examples of him covering other artists, other artists covering him, and a few fun surprises to remember him by. On a happier note, on Friday, September 4, our buddy Sean Burns releases a collection of some of his favourite truckin’ songs called “We Gotta Lotta Truckin’ to Do,” so we hop in the cab and crank a few of our faves to get us ready.

Remember to keep in touch with the people you care about during these days of isolation. You never know what someone’s going through unless you reach out. The only way to get through this madness is with a little help. I’m here for you any time.
