My favourite co-host is along for today’s show, but since Dad is a bit of a dork and forgot about piano class (oops) we had to leave a little early. In 90 minutes we managed to have a lot of fun and include some Christmas music, some cool covers, some requests, and more!

It’s the sad anniversary of the terrible Montreal Massacre in 1989. As much as we like to believe that mass shootings are exclusive to our southern neighbours, Canada has seen its share, including this horrific murder directed at women. Today some songs to remember those women by, as well as a bunch of sung or written by strong and inspiring women. We’ve also got a bit of a tribute to Sinead O’Connor, who has been struggling this week. We’ve also got a few great shows to look forward to, and we finally welcome the Christmas season in song!

It’s Grey Cup Sunday in Winnipeg, so I want to nowhere near that goofy stadium, so a pre-recorded episode is in order. Recording in my basement allows me to go through the shelves of CDs that don’t make it down to the station as often and pull out some gems. We dug pretty deep this week, and came up with some really great ones.
