Playlist: Episode #727, February 4, 2018 – Namedropper

Today we play Namedropper, where each and every song is either about another song or songwriter, or mentions one or more of ’em! See if you can keep score at home and pick out all of the mentions, there’s a lot of them! I found so many of these songs that we will surely revisit this topic in the not-too-distant future, so if you’ve got other suggestions, let me know!

This is one of our standby series of pre-recorded episodes that are meant to be timeless, so we can pop them into the schedule again some time when I can’t be at the studio live, so enjoy this one now and again!

It’s a good thing that I’m so slow making a “Best of” list each year (when I actually do), because I’m constantly finding new music from years past and re-evaluating the choices. This week I discovered two albums worthy of a spot right near the top of the list, and spun some music from those as well as some more worthy contenders. We also had some great requests & suggestions from listeners.
