Neil Young is surely one of the patron saints of just about all of the music that we love most, so it’s only right to celebrate his birthday and his return to town this week. Tonight, a dive into Neil’s catalogue with some great covers of his classics, as well as a bit of ol’ Shakey himself. And how could we not get excited about a show where the opening acts are Los Lobos and The Sadies? This is a roots rockin’ good time.

It’s a busy week on the concert calendar, so there’s plenty for us to preview, including the return of Elliott BROOD, Brock Zeman, James Keelaghan. Also on the schedule, we chat with Rose Cousins who returns to the West End and we were planning to be visited in-studio by The Wilderness of Manitoba; sadly, we had to enact the Fred Eaglesmith Clause on that one, when their gear was locked up at a venue in Brandon so they didn’t make it in time for the end of the show.
