Well, what do you know, it’s our 500th episode! More than 1000 hours on Sunday afternoons and counting. And rather than sitting around tooting our own horn, we’re back doing what we love, playing the best music in the world. Today it’s a star-studded tribute to the great dads out there, on Father’s Day.

Today a celebration of the birthdays of Luke Doucet and Slaid Cleaves, as well as a belated tribute to Stan Rogers, a week after the 30th anniversary of his death (oops.) And the great new music just keeps on coming, with a couple more stellar summer releases.

It’s a new music kind of day today, and we’ve got a wealth of it, including a bunch from some of our favourites. I also discovered some “new to me” music this week, and that’s just as fun to share. Today a long overdue in-studio visit by former Winnipegger, Matt Epp. He’s been on quite a roll the past few years with his Amorian Assembly, and their new album is a winner. Good to have him in to chat all about it. As usual, we’ve got all of the new music and classics you could shake a stick at, if you were to shake a stick at music. (That’s pretty weird, but if you’re so inclined, go for it.)
