Among the great shows coming up this week, one’s got us particularly pumped; Ryan Adams headlines a show in Winnipeg for the first time ever this week, and he’s bringing along Butch Walker. We love ’em both, so plenty from each to get you primed. Of course, there are other shows and more great new music as well!

Podcast: October 5, 2014 – Joe Nolan & Chloe Albert

Breakout West and the Western Canadian Music Awards are in town, and although we take great pride in celebrating Music from the region all of the time, today is an especially good reason to show our love with 100% Western Canadian music! And to do that, we’ve got some extra special guests. The festival brought a lot of great artists to town, but two that I was especially excited to see are Joe Nolan and Chloe Albert, both big talents early into promising careers. Both were kind enough to drop by to chat and play for us on the show!

This week marks the return of Fred Eaglesmith, and the Breakout West festival and Western Canadian Music Awards, and there’s plenty in there to play, celebrate, and prepare for. Also, to balance out all that joy, some songs from a darker, lonelier place.
