Another Pledge-O-Rama has come and gone, and I can’t say how grateful I am for the support of my wonderful listeners. Your kindness and generosity will lift me through another year, and as always, I’ll try to make the show as good as possible. I think I managed that today, by replaying the amazing live performances from Leaf Rapids on the Steel Belted Free Range Radio pledge show, along with some really great new music and previews of some shows you won’t want to miss from the likes of Matt Epp, The Wailin’ Jennys, and NQ Arbuckle!

It’s Pledge-O-Rama time once again! All year long we try to give you, the listener, the best music, interviews, and information. One week a year, we rely on you to help us, and the time has come. We’ve got lots to give away, lots to celebrate, and some very special guests along to sing for your pledges! There’s a brand new supergroup in town called Leaf Rapids, which is made up of Devin & Keri Latimer (of Nathan) and Scott Nolan & Joanna Miller! They’re here to play publicly for the FIRST TIME EVER! Now there’s something worth supporting!

It’s Pledge-O-Rama time again! This is the one time of the year where we turn to the listeners for their help and hope that they will support our station and help us keep moving forward, and once again, they did! Thanks to everyone who supported us. In spite of the hectic, unpredictable nature of the show, we managed to do what we always do – tell you about new music and upcoming events, and play some of the best music in the world, music that doesn’t get nearly enough attention elsewhere.

Breakout West and the Western Canadian Music Awards are in town, and although we take great pride in celebrating Music from the region all of the time, today is an especially good reason to show our love with 100% Western Canadian music! And to do that, we’ve got some extra special guests. The festival brought a lot of great artists to town, but two that I was especially excited to see are Joe Nolan and Chloe Albert, both big talents early into promising careers. Both were kind enough to drop by to chat and play for us on the show!
