Jesse DeNatale – Nightingale – Soul Parade Episode #199 Sunday, February 25, 2007 2:00-4:00 pm central time CJUM 101.5 UMFM in Winnipeg, Manitoba www.umfm.com The most anticipated news of the year has arrived: the lineup for the Winnipeg Folk Festival, and there were some pleasant surprises, so we played some songs from some of the notable names on the list. Then, some hotly anticipated upcoming shows.
Also, a special celebration of the life & music of one of the greatest singer/songwriters of them all on the eve of what would have been his birthday. The Man in Black, Johnny Cash would have been 75 on February 26, and as the host of a singer/songwriter show, it’s in my contract to honour Johnny whenever possible.
Lastly, a brief tip o’ the hat to our old pal Mike Plume who dropped me a line this week and got me thinking about how darn great he really is.
