I always have fun doing this show, but rarely so much fun as I did hanging out with two truly great people who play truly great music. I’ve been a fan of Michael Johnston and Reid Jamieson on their own, but seeing and hearing them perform together live is an experience unto itself, and one that I won’t soon forget. They came in for a set of originals and fabulous covers and lots of fun.

The best of 2004 continues, as we planned to speak with a couple of great acts that call BC home. It’s always great to introduce Winnipeg to great artists, and I’m so glad that we got to hear some of the great music of Bruce Knauer and Swank. We were supposed to do interviews with both, but those pesky time zones got in the way, and we got our wires a bit crossed. I called Bruce and got him out of the shower to do an interview, but Swank was MIA. We’ll try again next week!

Even Desmond Howl gets in the Christmas spirit once in a while, and so we enjoyed a rare afternoon of Christmas favourites. Not all Christmas music is cheesy, as we proved today.
Also, we finally caught up with Vancouver roots-rockers Swank, who gathered around a speakerphone for a wild and entertaining interview.
