It’s not Christmas yet, but it’ll feel like it this week as we receive many gifts in the form of great upcoming concerts. Lots to celebrate and enjoy on today’s show. We’ll also celebrate last week’s show by Charlie Mars and The Dixie Chicks. The Chicks sometimes don’t get a lot of respect, but they sure do cover some great songs and hang out with some pretty special friends, so a celebration of both today. And on a less joyful note, we would be remiss if we didn’t honour Remembrance Day, so a few songs in honour of the day.
It’s that one time of the year where we really rely on our listeners to keep things going, strong and energized on UMFM. Our annual funding drive is an opportunity to celebrate the things we do and hope to keep doing, as well as to recognize the valuable input and support of our wonderful listeners! This year, we’ve got special musical contributions from John K Samson, of The Weakerthans!
