We’ve got lots to give away, lots to celebrate, and some very special guests along to sing for your pledges! There’s a brand new supergroup in town called Leaf Rapids, which is made up of Devin & Keri Latimer (of Nathan) and Scott Nolan & Joanna Miller! They’re here to play publicly for the FIRST TIME EVER! Steel Belted Pledge-O-Rama Spectacular this Thursday, Oct. 23!

Thanks to all who have supported UMFM‘s Pledge-O-Rama thus far. We’ve been pleased with the response overall, and we’re nearing our goal. We’re really lucky to have such generous and devoted listeners, so thanks to you!

Special thanks to the folks who dropped by the studio on Sunday. That sure makes things even more fun, so it was nice to see some friendly faces and boost our spirits.

There’s still plenty of room for more donations heading into Thursday’s Steel Belted Free Range Radio. If you haven’t had a chance to make a donation yet, fear not, we’ll be more than happy to take it any time. You can call 204-474-6610, email me or pledge@umfm.comto make arrangements, or visit https://www.umfm.com/info/donate/ to pledge online. Little known fact, but one that you might be interested in knowing, if you donate via that page, there is a fee that comes out of using an online payment service, so we don’t see every dollar of your donation. If you want every penny to go to us, call the line, fill out a pledge form, or come see us at UMFM.

Thursday, we’ll pull out all the stops in an effort to get in those last minute donations. I’m putting the big prizes from the prize box on the line as well as some new ones. I’ve also called in some special guest reinforcements!
Join us to be among the first to hear Leaf Rapids, a new project headed up by Keri Latimer and Devin Latimer, and backed up by none other than Scott Nolan and Joanna Miller! That’s a superstar lineup, right there! They’ve been rehearsing and preparing for this show, and I am so excited to hear it and so thankful that they’ve made this effort and commitment. Now all you have to do is tune in or drop by and enjoy!

Steel Belted Pledge-O-Rama Party Thursday, Oct. 23! Special guests!

We’re less than a week away from UMFM‘s annual Pledge-O-Rama, and once again, we would really appreciate your support! The benefits of the past two Pledge-O-Rama events has been overwhelming. We’ve raised some much needed cash, which has made the station much more stable and viable, and has provided the opportunity for us to make some major upgrades to equipment and capabilities. This year, we’ve got big plans once again!

We’re blessed to have some really dedicated and valued online listeners, who for years have been listening to an unreliable, fairly low-quality audio stream. If we’re successful and are able to reach the station’s goal of raising $28,000, we will set to work on creating a new, higher quality Internet stream! We also would like to start posting on-demand podcasts of all UMFM programs on our website for immediate download. With your generous support, we will make it possible for you to check out any of UMFM’s programs right after they happen!

In order to this and much more, we need your help. Please consider donating to UMFM’s Pledge-O-Rama. You can do that online or by phoning 204-474-6610 from October 17 to 24. You can also send me a message through the Contact page on this site to discuss other options.

And if you do donate, please consider supporting Steel Belted Free Range Radio! If you do, we’ve got plenty of incentives for you that are exclusive to this program, in addition to the general station incentives. You can check it all out on the Pledge-O-Rama page.

And make sure you tune in Thursday, October 23 for a Steel Belted Radio Pledge-O-Rama special! We’ll have fun and games galore, and we’ll blow out the rest of our prizes in an attempt to bring in a few donations late in the game.

To do it, we’ve got some extra special live guests!

Steel Belted Radio is proud to present the Winnipeg debut of Leaf Rapids! This is a new project headed up by Keri Latimer and Devin Latimer of Nathan/Nathan Music Co. They’ve got a debut album coming out in the new year on Black Hen Music, but this will be your first chance to hear them perform new music, live. For this occasion, they’ll also be joined by another dynamic Winnipeg duo, Scott Nolan and Joanna Miller! It’s a super exciting, star-studded affair that you will NOT want to miss!

Join us Thursday, October 23, 6:30-8 pm central! Drop in and say hello!
